blinds, creating a soft glow in the room. The light hits Peters and glints off his moustache.

“Apparently, there’s cheap beer at the Cellar for anyone with a moustache,” he says. “That makes me happy on so many levels.”

Peters is growing a moustache for Movember. Movember is dedicated to raising awareness and money for prostate cancer. It’s the largest campaign for men’s health, and raised $2.4 million last year for prostate cancer research.

what’s the point, and you look like an idiot.”

Men can grow moustaches and raise money as a group. At the end of the month, the group has the option to take a picture and post it on the official Facebook Movember group. Whoever has the best picture wins a prize. Peters isn’t raising any money this year, but he says the awareness factor is there.

“If you look on campus, you see all the guys on the hockey team, on the rugby team, they’re all growing their moustaches,” he says. “They all look dirty. Everybody looks dirty right now, but it’s for a good cause.”
