Homeless for a decade

Orphan

Vitaliy Iltsin has been living homeless for 10 years.

After he graduated from an orphanage in Uralsk Kazakhstan, he stepped into the real world without an education, a place to live or a means to survive. The government promises every orphan a temporary place to live before he or she can establish normal life, but Vitaliy, like  many others, has never received a thing. Without knowing where to go and what to do, this 16-year old boy stays in the basement of the apartment building.  He has been living there for 10 years. He tells his own story. Produced by Damira Davletyarova.
